Marissa and James offer cave training thru TDI, IANTD, and NSS-CDS
Cavern is the first step towards becoming cave diving certified. You are introduced to the overhead environment.
Intro to Cave is the next step. This can be combined with cavern if you are an experienced diver. This class allows you to dive 1/3 of a single tank or 1/6 of doubles. You are limited to main line penetration only.
Full Cave Diver allows you to dive 1/3 of you gas supply, complete t's and jumps, circuits and traverses (this is a 4 day class)
Technical Dive Training
Advanced Nitrox -Are you looking to expand your dive time? Maybe you’re a scientific diver or photographer looking to stay in the water a little longer? The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career.
Decompression Procedures - Are you finding your no- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like? As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.
Are you unfamiliar with the area or want a safe buddy? Maybe you'd like to get some photos of yourself taken in the cave! You can hire one of us for $300 a day to guide you in the caves of Florida. You pick the site and you can do as much work, or as little as you want. We can run all the lines and help us come up with a fun new dive plan! If you've never dived in the area before and want an experienced buddy to make diving safe for you or you family that is what I am here for.
Additional Cave Diving Classes
Cave Sidemount - Learn how to dive those smaller, less traveled tunnels... ever want to know how to handle those tiny places that require tank removal? Cave sidemount will push you to find the limits of your comfort zone. It will teach how to handle the most stressful situations in caving. It is a great class to really fine tune your sidemount diving in caves.
Cave Stage Diver - The TDI Stage Cave Diver Course is designed to teach trained cave divers how to extend bottom times and/or penetration distance through the use of stage cylinders. Divers will learn to plan dives that may incorporate longer bottom times, complex dive planning, and multiple methods of gas management. With respect to depth, gas mixes, and required decompression, course dives will not exceed the student’s current level of certification and experience level.
Cave DPV - This course is designed to teach trained cave divers how to utilize Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs) in the cave environment. Divers will learn about safe DPV use, DPV components, and care and maintenance. Students will learn to plan dives that may incorporate extended penetration, longer bottom times, complex dive planning, and proper methods of gas management.
